God’s Promises in the Bible Are For Those With Faith

Walking with God means that you are highly favored. The Holy Bible is said to be a book of promises and curses. Let me be the first to say I can vouch for it being just that!

Back when I was a new Christian, I really didn’t realize how favored I was till I looked back and “remembered”. I was working in this mediocre warehouse making carburetors for a mediocre pay. Well, one day I was told not to leave my station because the owner was walking around all hot headed. Did I mind? No, haha! I was at the very end of the assembly line bolting these hot-rod carburetors together, but I had received a messed up part…

I walked to the front of the assembly to get it repaired, and then my manager got all upset at me and sent me home for going above and beyond my job! I didn’t take this too well to say the least! Actually, I was really worked up over the whole thing. On my way home I got a flat tire, which made matters worse.

The next day I drove my dad’s truck with the tools, so I could fix up my flat tire after work. Feeling much more calm today I walked inside, clocked in, and then sat down to talk with my friends just before we started our shift. Once it hit 8 o’clock we were off to work! I got to my part of the assembly line, but was recollecting thoughts of what had happened the day before. I was thinking about how I do my best, and that I’m worth so much more than they are paying me! It really worked me up when I remembered the previous day. I let the carburetors stack up for about 30-45 minutes until my manager was forced to tell the supervisor. Yeah, I was getting myself fired! I was young and very spontaneous!

Living Out God’s Promises by Faith

The supervisor came storming at me with fiery eyes and a tongue as sharp as a sword! Curses and swear words were flying out of his mouth like I had slapped his momma! He led me out the warehouse and to my truck, while I had kept silent until I reached the truck. At the truck I said three words to him that shut him up, “God bless you”. I think I just wanted to get under his skin more by proudly humbling myself, haha! I also knew that God would give me something better, because that is what is states in His Word! I had also seen many miracles after I had just got saved, when I was a drug dealer and had suicidal thoughts.

I drove to my car and repaired the tire, but as I was going home I noticed that the wheel was acting really goofy. Not wanting to take any chances, I checked it out. But when I couldn’t find the problem, I took it to the nearest mechanic. What the mechanic said made me wish I never quit my job just hours before! He told me my axle was bad and that I need a new one, which would only cost $400 dollars! That’s the amount of a two-week paycheck back then, ouch! If I don’t repair it, then I risk losing the whole wheel and rim all in one setting, while possibly sliding off the mountain where I lived. Unfortunately I didn’t even have the money, nor a job to save up. Needless to say, I drove home going slow and parked the car.

Open Heaven for Those Who Believe

All weekend, I prayed to God to help me find a better job, and to assist me with my poor car. My prayers were heard! By Sunday my dad was talking to me about some carpenter who may have been looking to hire somebody. I gave my dad permission to give my phone number to him. Then Monday morning I went out to get a second look at my car. I went to this little shop that was located close to my church. They took the little Nissan to the back of the shop, while I just sat around waiting. Less than 5 minutes the mechanic comes to ask me to walk with him to the back of the shop. The mechanic points to the axle and says, “Look at this.” The axle nut was loose! He tightened it up and then charged me $5 for it all! Praise God as that was an answered prayer! Maybe I didn’t lay my hands on the car, and pray a prayer of healing for it, but it was still a blessing from God!

Later that day I got a phone call from this carpenter asking me if I want to work. I let him know that I have had some experience as my dad is also a carpenter, and has taught me a few things. My new boss then asked me to come by for work the following day! Another blessing on the same day! I not only got a job, but a $3 dollar raise! My God turned a bad situation into good, He also helped me remain calm when I should have been angry at my previous manager. Thank you Jesus for sending Your Holy Spirit to comfort me during that time!

Just Say Yes, and Amen!

This was a good lesson that I learned, which I now share with you. Take hold of what God promises, as they are good! Many Christians won’t ever disagree with me that they are indeed good promises, but why is it that they don’t experience them as well? I can answer this with one word, “Faith.” Many don’t have the faith to believe. Before anybody starts emailing me with hate mail, let me explain. If you have faith then you wouldn’t murmur about your situation! Stop complaining about what you can see, and fix your eyes on what you can’t! There is no need to grumble or whine because you don’t have what others do. “From the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.” James 3:10

If you really had faith, then you wouldn’t care what’s going on around you, but would instead trust God to be the one to open up heaven over your life, BECAUSE this is His promise to those who are righteous! “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Psalm 84:11

Are you looking for a promotion? God will give you this too! It’s a promise in His Word! I’m believing and praying with you that you’ll get your promotion. “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” Matthew 23:12 His plans aren’t to harm you but to prosper you. People who murmur never get promoted, do they? You all know what I say is true! God is looking for people whom He can trust. ‎”For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.” 2 Chro 16:9a KJV

If you are believing God for a new job, business or promotion, then comment below so we can believe and pray with you! Be sure to reply a second time after you receive your blessing, as I know it’s coming!

    • Marc,

I’ll be praying for you, as you first need direction on where to go before setting out. I’ve heard of your situation more than once, but know this any degree is better than no degree. There is also nothing wrong with seeking after wisdom. “Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.” Proverbs 3:15

If medical school is not where your are suppose to be, then ask God. It’s really that simple. He will speak to you. I talked about that some in this article, “Do Not Conform”, but soon I will write more articles on how I heard God, and how to know it’s Him. God bless you Marc!

  3. I’ve been in a really bad realtionship where I left my life in a different state for. I was at the top of my career and I left all that behind me for love. The realtionship was brutal to find out later he never loved me. I’m back in my original state starting my business again where I left it. I’m praying God to put me back on top and business grow more lucrative than it was. I’ve had little support from my family and nothing but judgemental people telling me ill be nothing. Lord please I pray I will make my enemy’s out of liars. I pray your staff will pray with me in agreement. Hopefully your still reading these comments for the last one was in October. 🙂 Thank you in advance.

    • Danette,

I’m sorry things have been so tough, especially when you feel betrayed from loved ones. God’s heart is near the broken hearted, and He wants to take away your suffering. Sometimes though, we’re allowed to go through trials so we’ll turn out as pure gold, just as rock is tested through the fire. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28. Continue to seek after God and His counsel, allow His will to be done in your life! Many people pray for those who come on this website, and I too will be praying for you! God bless you Danette, your in God’s hands!

  4. I have been working in a firm for six years and I recently resigned due to some strange events. I have completed plans to start a viable business and my major challenge is getting the needed finance to kick-start the business. I intend to be a blessing onto others should I succeed in starting the business. I would like for you to pray with me that God should help me get the needed finance so that I can fulfill my purpose – to be a blessing to others. Amen

    • God can indeed bless you finicially. I pray you prosper as your soul prospers! Give abundantly and you will receive abunantly. Be in prayer and plan to succeed. Using words like “should i succeed” is already planning for failure. The only way to fail is to give up. These are simple principles of the Bible and the world reconizes it as law as well. Prayed and believing 🙂
